3 Days 2 Nights in Bintulu (20 - 22/03/2026)

A Short but Meaningful Escape

I recently took a short 3 days 2 nights trip to Bintulu, and it turned out to be more memorable than I expected.
I stayed at the Imperial Hotel, which was comfortable and conveniently located. One of the highlights of the stay was definitely the breakfast — it was super nice! A great way to start each day with a variety of delicious options.

The trip wasn’t just about relaxing. I also took some time to enjoy a movie, which added a nice, laid-back touch to the whole experience.

What made the trip truly special was meeting up with friends. It’s always good to reconnect, laugh, and just enjoy each other’s company. We also went for dessert -simple sweet moments like these make the trip worthwhile.

One of the most meaningful parts of the journey was going back to my first workplace after 23 years. It felt nostalgic walking through familiar places and bringing back old memories — a mix of emotions, but definitely a special moment.

Of course, no trip is complete without a bit of shopping. I spent some time at The Spring, picking up a few things and just enjoying the atmosphere.
I also took the chance to drive around town, soaking in the sights and vibes of Bintulu. Sometimes, just exploring without a plan is the best way to experience a place.
Overall, it was a short but fulfilling getaway — a mix of relaxation, nostalgia, and good company. Definitely a trip to remember.

❄️ HOKKAIDO WINTER DIARY (24 Feb– 06 March 2026) 🇯🇵 ❄️

Our first overseas trip together — and one we’ll never forget.
There’s something magical about traveling with people you love — and this trip to Hokkaido was exactly that.
12 of us, from sisters to cousins to friends, all chasing snow, food, and unforgettable memories in Japan’s winter wonderland ❄️✨

🛫 Day 1 —(25/02/2026) The Journey Begins
Our adventure kicked off with a flight on ANA… and let’s just say — we basically ate our way to Japan 🤣🍱
Landing at Haneda Airport, we spent the night waiting for our early flight to Sapporo.
But honestly.....The trip already started right there.
Late-night snacks from 7-Eleven and Lawson somehow tasted extra good when you’re traveling.
❄️ Day 2 (26/02/2026) — Hello, Sapporo
Touchdown in Sapporo and straight to brunch at Ebisoba Ichigen — a bowl of rich, flavorful Ramen that instantly warmed us up 🍜
Then came one of the most unforgettable moments of the trip: 12 of us dragging giant luggage across icy streets… slipping and walking like penguins 🐧🤣
After what felt like an extreme winter obstacle course, we finally reached Koko Hotel and checked in.
Dinner at GARAKU Sapporo was the perfect reward — rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious 🍛
We ended the night with photos at:
✨ Susukino’s iconic Nikka sign
✨ Sapporo TV Tower glowing in the snow
And of course… shopping at PARCO 🛍️

🦀 Day 3 (27/02/2026) — Otaru’s Charm
A slower day, but just as beautiful.
Visited Sankaku Market + Shopping day!
We explored Sankaku Market and treated ourselves to fresh King Crab 🦀 — sweet, juicy, and unforgettable.

Otaru Canal was SO beautiful ❄️
Otaru Canal looked like a postcard come to life —
snow, soft lights, and a nostalgic charm that made everything feel calm and magical 💙

And of course, dessert was non-negotiable.
A stop at LeTAO for their famous cheesecake and chocolates was the perfect ending 🍰

🚗 Day 4 (28/02/2026) — Snow Adventures & Volcanic Wonders
This was easily one of the most exciting days.
At Lake Toya, I tried a snowmobile for the first time —
equal parts thrilling and slightly scary, but 100% worth it ❄️🛵
We stopped at Lake Hill Farm for fresh milk ice cream (yes, even in winter 🍦), and it was incredible.
At Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch, we slowed things down with lunch and a short walk.
Then came Jigokudani (Hell Valley)
a dramatic landscape of steam, craters, and raw earth energy rising through the snow. It felt like stepping into another world 🌋

🍫 Day 5 (01/03/2026) — A Sweet Escape
Shiroi Koibito Park felt like walking into a childhood dream 🍬✨
Everything was sweet, whimsical, and beautifully designed — a place where chocolate, nostalgia, and winter magic come together.

🐧 Day 6 (02/03/2026) — Cute Encounters & Dreamy Forests (Asahiyama Zoo & Furano)
The highlight?
Penguin parade at Asahiyama Zoo 🐧
Adorable doesn’t even begin to describe it.
We passed by the famous Ken & Mary Tree, then continued to Shikisai-no-Oka, where endless snowfields met distant mountains — peaceful and breathtaking.
At Ningle Terrace, tiny wooden cabins lit up the snowy forest like a fairytale village 🏡✨
It was quiet, magical, and one of the most beautiful moments of the trip.

🍲 Day 6 (Night) — A Festive Reunion in the Snow
After a full day trip, we ended the night in the best way possible — celebrating Chap Goh Meh together 🧧✨
Far away from home, but somehow it still felt warm and familiar. A big steamboat buffet, everyone gathered around the table, steam rising, laughter everywhere…
Good food, good company, and a special festive moment in the middle of a snowy trip 💙

🛍️ Day 7 (03/03/2026) — Shopping Days yahoooo
No alarms, no rush — just one mission:
SHOP. EAT. REPEAT. 🤣🛍️
From malls to drugstores, souvenirs to snacks,
we fully embraced the art of “just one more thing”…
(which turned into many more things 😆)
By the end of the day:
Hands full, wallets lighter, hearts very happy 💙

❄️ Day 8 (04/03/2026) — Finally, Snowfall
And just when we thought the trip couldn’t get any better…....it finally snowed ❄️✨
Soft snow falling from the sky, covering the streets —
the kind of moment that makes everything feel quiet and magical.
We spent the day soaking it all in, doing last-minute shopping and eat (of course 😆) and packing our very overfilled luggage 🧳

✈️ Day 9 (05/03/2026) — Goodbye, Sapporo
The hardest part — going home. After days of laughter, chaos, and unforgettable memories, it was time to say goodbye to Sapporo.
Tired, happy, and already missing everything.

🎎 Final — Just For Fun
And of course…
we ended everything with some funny AI kimono photos 🤣🎎
Elegant? Yes.
Chaotic? Also yes.
The perfect way to wrap up a trip full of
laughter, memories, and a little bit of madness 💙

💙 Closing Note
This trip wasn’t just about the places — it was about the laughter, the chaos, and the little moments in between.

From festive celebrations 🧧
to slipping on icy streets 🐧
to racing across snowfields ❄️
to eating non-stop 🍜🍰🦀
to shopping madness 🛍️
to that perfect snowfall ❄️
Every part of it felt special.

Hokkaido gave us memories we’ll talk about for years.

12 peoples. One unforgettable journey. And definitely… not the last 💙🌏✨

Same people, next destination? 🌏✨
